Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging names Rosemary Greene new Executive Director
RUTLAND, Vt. – Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging (SVCOA) is pleased to announce that it has promoted Rosemary Greene to the position of Executive Director. Greene has most recently served as SVCOA’s interim Executive Director and Director of Business Operations.
“I am very fortunate to work with a dedicated team and eager to work collaboratively with community partners to bring older Vermonters’ successes and challenges into mainstream conversations,” said Greene. “There is a lot to look forward to at SVCOA as we look to advance the agency's mission of empowering Vermonters to age with dignity, independence and quality of life.”
During her ten years of service with SVCOA, Greene has overseen the renovation of its administrative office in Rutland, assisted with the agency’s transition to a new database system, and was active in SVCOA’s COVID-19 response. Prior to SVCOA, she spent over eight years in operations in the trust industry.
Additionally, she has served in a range of community roles including as a board member of the Proctor School Board, and various volunteer roles with Proctor Elementary and High School, as well as the Proctor Free Library.
“We are pleased to formally announce the promotion of Rosemary Greene as the agency's new executive director,” said George Davis, President of SVCOA’s Board of Directors. “Rosemary was selected after an extensive search process and brings to this important position a strong combination of financial and operational insight which will be an advantage in the continued development of our agency and its programs. We know she will bring a wealth of enthusiasm, professionalism and leadership in guiding SVCOA as we move forward.”
