2023 Walk to End Alzheimer's
Alzheimer's disease is a devastating condition that affects millions of individuals and their families across the United States. SVCOA recognizes the importance of supporting those affected by Alzheimer's and is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in our community. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is an annual event organized by the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Participants in the walk come together to honor and remember loved ones affected by Alzheimer's, as well as to support the ongoing efforts to find a cure for this disease.
The SVCOA Purple Warriors team welcomes anyone who wants to make a positive impact in the fight against Alzheimer's. Participants can join the team, donate, or support team members as they strive to make a difference. "We encourage everyone to come out and join the SVCOA Purple Warriors team as we walk to make a difference," said Joy Mortelliti, Team Captain of SVCOA Purple Warriors. "Together, we can raise awareness, support those affected by Alzheimer's, and work towards a future without this devastating disease."
The Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on September 23rd, starting at Main St Park in Rutland, VT. Registration begins 9 a.m. the day of the walk.
