At SVCOA, we believe that health and independence go hand in hand. Our Wellness Program empowers older adults to stay active, connected, and engaged in their communities through a growing range of evidence-based classes, events, and local resources.
From improving balance and mobility to supporting emotional wellness, SVCOA is here to help individuals take meaningful steps toward healthy aging.
Tai Chi for Falls Prevention
Gentle, low-impact movement to build strength, balance, and confidence
SVCOA partners with Tai Chi Vermont to offer Tai Chi for Falls Prevention, a nationally recognized program shown to improve flexibility, reduce fall risk, and promote physical well-being.

Walk With Ease
A flexible walking program designed for every ability level
Developed by the Arthritis Foundation, Walk With Ease is a self-guided or group-based program that helps older adults reduce joint pain, build endurance, and improve heart health.

We welcome volunteers with a passion for health, wellness, mindfulness, or community education to help us expand access to meaningful activities across our region.
